Before I start animating in Maya I've sketched out key poses for my 3D model onto paper. This will make things slightly easier when it comes to posing the model, because I'll have some accurate references to follow.

I've sketched some references in close-up such as the hand flipping the coin in row six. This is because the hand movement is rather complex and I feel I'd need a close reference to make the hand movement more accurate in Maya. The poses that I feel will be most challenging is when the model walks toward the door, as I'll need to try and get the timings and pacing of the walk correct so that it looks natural and not too static.

My next step is to start translating these poses into Maya.
