3Ds Max Model Development:

So far I've configured the basic shape of my UFO concept in 3Ds Max. The design is mainly based off of my own ideas and sketches, as well as taking some inspiration from the shapes on the UFO in Independence Day.

Developing my original sketch into Max resulted in a lot of trial and error, and finding which shapes were easiest to manipulate into the style that I wanted. Once I created the shapes I wanted I then cloned them. This meant any further editing to my shapes or a particular section wouldn't affect the symmetry of the UFO, as any editing would be echoed onto all cloned shapes. Overall I am happy with how my object is looking and plan on adding some materials and begin experimenting with lighting and renders later in the process.
